We enjoyed a wonderful 10 night stay at Villa Carlotta in September as a group of six.
The house is spacious and very comfortable with king sized beds in the two main bedrooms and air conditioning throughout the property.
We enjoyed wonderful weather the whole time we stayed - so spent most of our time outside. The views from the dining area terrace are just lovely looking out over the plain below towards the coast.
There are two sun terraces - one overlooking the pool (which is very private) and the other by the house to take advantage of the afternoon sun.
We really liked the location, which is just great for visiting the numerous beautiful local towns and villages - all of which have plenty of cafes and restaurants for dining out.
Maura gave us plenty of recommendations and all of them were great ….. and very reasonably priced. Eating out and going for coffee is certainly less expensive than at home in the UK.
We did a fair bit of sightseeing and driving about and would say that Villa Carlotta is perfectly located if you prefer lovely towns, local cuisine and culture to beaches. The nearest beaches are about a 20 minute drive away, but for the most beautiful ones you’ll need to head more than an hour further south.
Finally, a special mention for Maura who just couldn’t have done more to make our stay enjoyable. She’s always available to contact if you need her and knows all the best places to visit!

The view is exceptional
Wonderful place to immerse yourself in the Puglian lifestyle! The view is exceptional and the villa is spacious, clean, with all the necessary amenities.

Views from the terrace are absolutely breathtaking
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the beautiful Villa Carlotta. The Villa is in a great location for visiting local, well known towns (all within 15-30 mins drive - a car is a must!).
The surroundings are beautiful and the views from the terrace are absolutely breathtaking.
Maura was a fantastic host, very responsive and friendly. We will definitely be returning and recommending the villa to friends.

The villa was stunning! The view out to sea is amazing! This was a great place for the family, we have had such a lovely week.
Maura was very helpful, both in advance of our stay and also whilst we were there. She helped to organise a brilliant private chef for my Mum's birthday.

The house is just perfect: 100% compliant with description, clean, nicely furnished and decorated, well equipped, well located and ... very calm.

Great location in Puglia
We had a fantastic week in Villa Carlotta. It was the perfect size for 4 adults and 3 children. We enjoyed the heated pool and the kids could play a lot in the garden.
The house is in a peaceful area with closeness to a grocery store and restaurants. It is also in a great location in Puglia with lots of things to do and see within 30 min. The Zoosafari in Fasano was a highlight for our children.
The host, Maura, is a lovely person. She gave lots of useful information about the area and what to do and was easy to get in contact with whenever we needed.
We can really recommend this house!

Everything at Villa Carlotta was just perfect. Maura is a lovely and authentic host. The communication and handling of the booking was flawless.
Despite having bad luck with the April weather, we enjoyed our time at this beautiful hillside location with its stunning view to the ocean.
We can only recommend this place. Its very centrally located and as such close to many "must sees" in Apulia.
Ensure to order the 4 course home chef service. It was such a good starter of our family time! Thank you!

We had the most wonderful time at Villa Carlotta
We had the most wonderful time at Villa Carlotta. Maura was incredibly kind and attentive, and her local knowledge outstanding. The house is immaculate, although the pool is chillier than we expected, mainly because of the reduced sunshine in October.
The welcome basket on arrival was most appreciated as we arrived rather late. The only problem we had was with the house plumbing, but that was speedily resolved and no longer a problem. All in all, we had a brilliant time for first contact to check out -and will absolutely look to visit again soon.

Great luxury vacations in the land of trulli.
The villa is excellent, spacious, decorated with taste and has everything you’ll expect for a great vacation in Puglia. The view is amazing. The service and attention to details from Maura is really five star level, from the preparations, the organization of the staff to the advice and information for the visits (best so far in all places we have visited!) The location is excellent, some minutes from the beach and the best towns in Puglia. Trulli are beautiful to see and visit but not so comfortable for living, that is why we chose staying in this comfortable house. The villa has different well independent areas, the house, the pool-deck-barbecue, the upper deck and the terraced gardens, lots of space to spend days in if you want to rest between visits to towns. We had a great time and look forward to coming back soon.

Grossartige Unterkunft an einem wunderbaren Ort
Ein Paradies in einer umwerfenden Gegend! Täglich ein wunderbares Frühstück auf der grossartigen Terrasse mit Blick über das Tal bis hin zum Meer lassen den Tag schon gut beginnen. Toller Platz für sämtliche Ausflüge in Apulien. Maura ist eine liebenswürdige, sehr freundliche und extrem hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Die tollen Fotos des Hauses entsprechen der Wirklichkeit! This property has the most breathtaking view out to the Adriatic from the front terrace and the pool. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. Two of the double bedrooms are a good size and one is a little smaller and snugly fits two singles. Maura gave us excellent directions. She is a great communicator and gave us great local tips for dinner and must sees! She also treated us to a welcome hamper which we were grateful for as we got there late. It's a great location to access all that Pugila has to offer. We were sad to leave!

Luxury hillside villa.
We enjoyed a wonderful 10 days in this beautiful villa. Maura was extremely helpful and gave us lots of advice on places to visit and good restaurants to eat in. Maura also went out of her way to bring us back some binoculars so that we could enjoy the spectacular sea views to the full .The neighbours were also very friendly giving us fresh figs from their trees. We would certainly recommend this villa to others.

Super place!
What a fantastic place to stay. Waking up to the panoramic views was an incredible treat which we did not tire of. The pool is just a short way from the house and gated off so perfect if you have young children. Everything was fantastically clean and the house well equipped. We were downstairs while another family was upstairs. (The two places are connected as other reviews have mentioned. ) We had separate driveways, gardens and swimming pools and we heard no noise at all. It was a privilege to meet Maura and her recommendations were much appreciated. We had a seafood dinner with a private chef which she kindly arranged for our last night. It was delicious - highly recommend. You can’t go wrong with this place. We loved it! (If you get stuck in the bathroom, just turn the light off!)

Puglian perfection.
This is a beautiful villa in the hills above Fasano with stunning views to the sea which was a 15 minute drive away. It has a great living area inside and a beautiful verandah overlooking the valley to the sea where enjoyed many meals. It also has a lovely pool and pool deck . It was managed by the wonderful Maura who ensured the place was spotlessly clean and looked after us so well! She provided us with a great “welcome pack” of food and wine and she was always available to give advice on things to do and restaurants. She organised a terrific night at a nearby Masseria where we learned to make orricietti, visited the beautiful garden there, were wined and dined and then danced to gypsy music. She also arranged for a driver every time we needed one. It was the perfect stay!

Fabulous villa with spectacular views. Maura couldn't have been more helpful, giving us lots of tips on places to eat and what to see and do. A car is definitely needed. The nearest town is Locorotondo which is only a 10 minute drive from the villa and has lots of wonderful restaurants . It was a good base to explore this area of Puglia.

Apulien ist eine Reise wert!
Die Bezeichnung "Luxusvilla" führt zu etwas falschen Vorstellungen. Die Villa Carlotta ist eigentlich eine Wohnung mit Terrasse im Erdgeschoss eines Hauses. Über dieser Wohnung gibt es noch eine weitere Wohnung. Es handelt sich also um ein Zweifamilienhaus, was zum Nachteil führt, dass man in der Wohnung im Erdgeschoss das Gehen und das Stühle rucken auf dem Steinboden mitbekommt. Trotzdem kann ich die komfortable Wohnung empfehlen. Es gibt einen grossen Wohnraum, zwei sehr bequeme Doppelbetten, eine gut ausgestattete Küche und eine Terrasse mit einem wunderbaren Blick zum Meer. Auch die steil abfallende Gartenanlage zum Schwimmbad hat mit den verschiedenen Sitzplätzen ihren Charme. Das Objekt eignet sich eher für Erwachsene, denn Kinder haben im Aussenbereich wenig Spielfläche. Sehr bewährt hat sich aber das beheizte Schwimmbad, weil das Wetter im Herbst nicht zum Baden im Meer einlud. Betonen möchte ich auch die sehr freundliche Betreuung durch die Besitzerin Maura Watson. Ich würde die Wohnung vor allem für Ferien zwischen Juni und September empfehlen. Wir verbrachten eine Woche im Oktober in der Villa Carlotta und konnten bei dem eher kühlen Wetter weder die schöne Terrasse noch die Gartenanlage benutzen.

Perfect!
The Villa was as depicted in the photographs - and then some. We spent 8 days here, using it as a base to explore this part of Puglia and beyond. The location was spectacular, so much so that we were often torn between going out and staying home to enjoy the view from the terrace and the swimming pool. In the end, we found a compromise to do everything we wanted including spending time sightseeing, at the beach and at the villa. What really contributed to the success of the vacation was the help we received from Maura Watson, our hostess. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed, responding almost instantly to our requests. Her recommendations for places to see and eat were spot on. She even arranged to have local chefs cook more than half our dinners, thereby freeing us up from the need to shop, cook and clean up. We can't wait to go back. Thank you, Maura!

Une super vacance. La villa est très propre et la vue superbe.L’accueil de Maurà est super cool Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve dans cette villa. L’accueil au top ,avec un panier avec de tout pour le petit déjeuner le lendemain. Maura was FABOULOUS et très disponible. A visiter obligatoirement Locorotondo, Martina Franca Alberobello. Luxury in Puglia
We have just returned home from a 12 night holiday at Villa Carlotta. We are a family of 4 ( 2 teenage daughters) and have had the most amazing relaxing holiday ever! The villa is stunning set up on the hilltop with amazing views over the Olive groves and Sea. The photos represent the Villa perfectly, both of the Villa and the Pool. The house feels very private and fully equipped with everything one needs! The surrounding villages are beautiful with so much to see, along with beach clubs a short drive away. I thoroughly recommend the Zoosafari & Tivoli for anyone with Children ( even teenagers) as we visited twice and we all loved it! I would also recommend trying the Home chef either on your first night or last night( we chose our last night) as this was a wonderful experience having a local chef prepare true Italian food in the villa. A huge Thank you to Maura who was the most amazing host and went out her way to ensure our Holiday was perfect, down to the smallest details.She is also full of great ideas for day trips and places to visit and always at hand if you have any questions- we will definitely be returning! Prachtig huis goed onderhouden schoon huis..
Prachtig uitzicht .vanaf een hoge heuvel. Mooie goed onderhouden woning. Alles navenant.zwembad ligt beneden in terrastuin. Vriendelijke gastvrouw met warme aandacht. Centraal gelegen in Puglia. Alles binnen 15 min.bereikbaar.stadjes ,strand etc. We hebben relaxed en genoten.

Not always do photographs give you the best of impressions but on this occasion they did and in the flesh the property is even better. It definitely has the WOW factor. Would we go back again, oh yes! If you want a quiet retreat or want to go out and about visiting different places then you are in the right location. The furthest we traveled was Lecce an hour and a half away, worth a visit. There are small towns only 10 to 20 minutes away if you want to eat out ,with a variety of restaurants to suit most pockets. It will be a holiday property that will stay in our minds for a great deal of time.

Terrific villa
It's hard to know where to begin when describing this lovely home. The view across the valley to the sea is gorgeous, and we loved starting the day enjoying that view from the terrace with our breakfast. The villa is well appointed and maintained, and the photos are quite accurate. We loved the master bathroom with the huge tub and great shower. Nice appliances in the kitchen, and the gas fireplace was cozy on a couple of cool nights. It felt so spacious with decks on several levels, so you can follow the sun or shade, depending on which suits you. Maura is a delight to deal with. So helpful, and provides you with excellent directions, and a really informative binder explaining the house and surrounding area. We took it with us on a number of day trips, as her directions for scenic routes were great. She also provides an arrival basket with some goodies to get you going, which we really appreciated as our arrival was around 8 pm, and she was there to greet us. She also set up a car rental for us, and the rental agent Elena provided us with transport to and from the airport. This was such a wonderful service to provide. We would highly recommend this vacation property to anyone visiting Puglia, and found the location so convenient to sightseeing the area. Thank you Maura for making our trip so enjoyable.

Fantastic house!
We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. Everything you need is there. The view is great, so are the sun terraces. We stayed at the end of April and were able te swim everyday because of the heated pool, which is not large but suited our needs and also has a terrific view. The children loved the gameroom as well. There is lots to do in the area if you can drag yourself away from the house :-)
